What is Yoga?

Yoga is a 5,000+ year old system from ancient India used to enhance the quality on one's life by increasing flexibity, core muscle strength, and centering as well as for releasing stress and tensions kept in the body and mind. 

I teach Hatha yoga blended with a meditative awareness and an emphasis on yogic breathing, here in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Yoga taught in this manner enhances the benefits of this wonderful ancient practice, it allows one to go deeper into oneself in a relaxed manner to feel more centered and at ease.  I have 19+ years of practice and teaching experience, and I have seen this transform myself and many people when practiced consistently.  Every year more and more scientific research confirms the major benefits of combining yoga with meditation. 

One time one of my students told me this, perhaps it inspires you: "The other day I went to lunch with my friends and they said I looked so beautiful.  They wondered what I had done.  Then I remembered that I had just taken your yoga class Marcello and I told them about it.  I plan to do yoga more consistently from now on!  Thank you."

Here's how I first realized the amazing benefits of yoga: When I first started playing squash in 1999 I gave myself a personal challenge: to get good enough to beat the instructors.  One day I finally beat one of them.  I felt great.  The teacher was stunned.  But the next time I played the same teacher I was trounced.  This time I was the one who was stupefied.  What happened?  Then I realized that the previous time when I was in the ZONE playing perfectly, I had taken my first ever yoga class just before the match.  I was so surprised by the powerfully positive effects of practicing yoga as I have since discovered, with everything, not just with sports.

Private Yoga Classes

  • Price: Private classes for 600kr for 1 ½ hours. Group prices determined by number of participants
  • Place: Location upon agreement
  • Frequency: Once or twice a week, or more
  • Payment is due at the end of session, or upon agreement
